The Business Show held at Kensington Olympia at the end of last week was a rip-roaring success and I am once again proud to say that my business www.seodesk.co.uk and I were a part of it. A two-day extravaganza for business start ups and those who are in a position to assist them, it really proved how much businesses are willing to support others and are excited to see new enterprises flourishing.
I was flattered to be asked to become a part of the seminar roster this year and I felt so enthusiastic about sharing my knowledge with others. I too have been in the position of turning an idea in to a profitable business model via its risky yet rewarding path to get there, and so to offer insight to people who will benefit from it was really satisfying. My seminars were on How to Promote your Business on Google in 2014 and Beyond and included my insight in to the world of SEO, how to future-plan and also how to penalty-proof SEO strategies.
How important this is to businesses was evidenced by the popularity of my seminar. On both days the space was packed to standing, including people sitting on the floor! It was so heartening to see and I really appreciate the interest and the support. It is great to know that the expertise I have built up over the years is as valuable to business owners as this.
I also managed to speak to several individuals over the course of the two days – I was both humbled to share my knowledge with some incredible people and also excited to discover businesspeople who I found to be an inspiration. One of the many things that I and other entrepreneurs seem to share is the desire to constantly learn – and these networking events provide the perfect backdrop to do this. I think it’s imperative not just to offer advice and services to those starting out but to share knowledge and wisdom with peers.
I’m not alone in appreciating the event either – it was attended by a whopping 22,000 people and was home to 350 exhibitors and 250 seminars. I’m really looking forward to being a part of this important show next year, I also hope those who attended my talks took as much away from them as I did from the event.
I look forward to seeing you again next year!
