Monday Motivation – Mo Farah

On February 21, 2015, Farah broke the indoor two-mile record at the Birmingham Indoor Grand Prix. He ran a 8:03.4 to break Kenenisa Bekele’s old record, It is the double Olympic champion’s first world record. And he did it in style as he broke away from the rest of the field early and powered around the final 200m lap to break Kenenisa Bekele’s seven-year-old record by almost a second as he came home in 8:03.4 minutes. While a world record might have been a long time coming for Farah there is no time to dwell on the success as begins his preparations for this summer’s World Championships in Beijing and the chance to retain the 5km and 10km titles he won in 2013.
