If thats a question you have ever asked yourself you are not alone.  A lot of business owners like shortcuts, they want to get results fast.  Making content takes time so it’s often taken out of a marketing campaign.

 

Content marketing generates 3 times as many leads as outbound marketing.  By making content you are building a relationship with your prospect, making sure they know you, like you and trust you.

 

Companies that neglect content marketing end up paying a lot more for each lead.

The biggest advantage of creating content is the increase your business will get in sales.  People buy from people they know like and trust.  If you consistently produce content it allows your prospects to get to know you.

 

Its cheap, making content is pretty much FREE.  Everyone has a smart phone these days and thats all you need to film content.  If you dont want to produce video content you can write a blog like this.

 

Content marketing speeds up the process of your clients deciding to work with you.   The more content your prospect sees the more it cements their decision to work with your business.

 

It increases the visibility of your brand, content is an easy way to get in front of clients without directly selling.  That will get your brand seen over and over again, which is only a positive thing.

 

It allows you to build a lasting relationship with your audience, content gives you a reason to stay in touch.   Nobody will get offended if you send them content that gives them value.  You can’t keep sending them stuff to buy, they quickly tune out to that.

 

It build up your authority and credibility in your niche.  If you can be the business owner providing value to your prospects you will quickly become the go to expert.

 

The Importance of Content Marketing

 

Content gives people the opportunity to know you like you and trust you in a comfortable way. They can see you as the expert,  get educated, and they can get value before you offer them something for sale.

 

Most business owners are trying to get married on the first date, all they do is try to sell stuff to people who are not ready to buy.

 

Content leads to traffic to your website, this blog post will rank in Google for terms like “Is Content Marketing Important”.  The more content you produce, the more traffic you will get from the search engines and Youtube.

 

Traffic will turn into leads in your business and when you have more leads than you need you can be more selective on who you work with.   My goal for my Business Accelerator students is to flood them with quality leads.  Then they can pick the best of the bests to work with and charge what they are worth.

 

No matter what you may read online, content marketing isn’t new. And it’s definitely a marketing strategy you need to use. You have to stand out in the crowd or your content marketing strategy will fall into the abyss.

 

Why Is Content Marketing Effective

 

It works because it takes your prospects through baby steps before they buy from you.   Your prospects are bound to have questions they need answered before buying from you.  Content can help get the answers in a non sales environment and build trust in you and your brand.

 

It will improve your conversions because you have taken the time to give value to your prospect.   By taking time to build a relationship with a prospect your conversions will increase significantly.
